Siav Services HUB – Digital preservation

Digital Preservation is the key building block to achieve complete dematerialization and ensure complete protection and legal value to different types of documents in the long run.

The preservation process, as it has been defined by AgID (Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale), involves numerous and precise activities that result in timely commitments for Companies and Public Administrations.

 Siav Services Hub is the solution that enables the entire preservation process to be implemented in accordance with standards and to consult and monitor all documents placed in storage by Siav, with significant savings in terms of human and technological resources invested. The service includes the following steps:

• PdV (Ingest Package) receipt, verification and upload: the service involves the receipt of digital objects for preservation (PdV). Each PdV is checked for formal correctness. The PdV is then uploaded to the conservation system. Following the upload, the Ingest Report (RdV) is generated, alerting the presence of any anomalies.
• PdA Generation: The Storage Package (PdA) and its Contents of the storage package (IPdA) are automatically generated, in the UNI SInCRO standard provided by AgID.
• The PdA is digitally certified by Siav with digital signature and time stamping
• PdD sending and consultation: finally, the Distribution Package (PdD) is prepared and sent via encrypted FTP channel.
• Documents placed in preservation are searchable and available through the exhibit console.
