Supply Chain Finance e Gestione della Supply Chain
Supply chain management is one of the most promising areas for Fintech. Many innovative companies have developed solutions to simplify and improve the relationship between a company and its supply chain, almost always including financial instruments.
Supply chain finance, in particular, offers new financing options for companies by integrating data from the entire supply chain with traditional credit scores. This allows for the creation of innovative reverse factoring products, for example.
Digital payments are another tool available to companies that want to better manage their supply chains. The ability to offer innovative payment solutions is particularly useful for companies active in export, for example.
Other strengths of fintech for the supply chain are:
- integrated data management: information along the supply chain becomes traceable and integrated. Companies can monitor all processes from production to distribution, improving control over the risks of fraud, counterfeiting, and loss of goods;
- inventory optimization: the company has broad visibility of the quantity of goods in stock, those arriving from suppliers, and those leaving for customers;
- process automation: the digitization of the various internal steps in the supply chain, including financial ones, reduces or eliminates the use of paper documents and manual operations. This increases the overall efficiency of the company. Electronic invoicing is a specific area.
