Physical security is critical for banks to protect customers, employees and physical assets.

Video surveillance plays an important role in protection and monitoring, as well as offering a deterrent element for the bad guys. The monitoring of activities inside and outside the bank's premises makes it possible to identify any threats, even future ones. Modern artificial intelligence solutions make it possible to analyse images in real time and send alerts in the event of anomalies.

Access management concerns both limiting access to sensitive areas only to authorized persons and monitoring who enters and exits spaces open to the public.

However, the evolution of the bank branch towards advisory-only and cashless models has not reduced the importance of branch security, which is moving, for example, to the management of self-service stations that contain cash.
