FlowPay Payment Initiation Service (PIS)

FlowPay’s Payment Initiation Service (PIS) enables account-to-account payments to be initiated directly from the user’s bank account through a guided flow that can be seamlessly integrated into the partner’s systems. Starting from an invoice, an e-commerce order, or another document, the partner creates a payment request via API and receives a unique checkout link with the amount, beneficiary, payment reference, and settlement date already pre-filled.

The payer selects their bank, completes Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), and authorizes the bank transfer. FlowPay keeps the partner updated on the transaction status, while the unique payment reference facilitates reconciliation with the underlying document.

The service can be used for online checkout, Pay-by-Link via email or message, and integrations featuring a “Pay Now” button directly within the partner’s management software. It supports instant, future-dated, and recurring payments.

PIS therefore helps reduce manual activities, improve the user experience, and embed bank payments directly into the partner’s digital processes.
