FlowPay Locked Payments

FlowPay Locked Payments solution is designed for managing conditional payments and protecting the parties involved in a commercial agreement. The partner defines the amount, beneficiary and release condition in advance; the payer authorises the transaction, and the funds are held in FlowPay’s technical account until the agreed event occurs, without the need to open a dedicated wallet.

Once the condition is met, the partner calls the release API and FlowPay transfers the funds to the beneficiary. If the condition is not met, the payment can be cancelled in accordance with the applicable rules. While the funds are locked, they remain the property of the payer.

Locked Payments is suited to transactions involving transfer of ownership, guarantees required before goods are shipped, crowdfunding and other scenarios where payment must depend on a verifiable event. The partner manages the logic behind the condition, while FlowPay securely manages the flow of funds.
